I’m really glad to have been able to work with Future Build and The Edge on this brief timeline on UK policy and climate commitments.

We felt that UK policy kept taking one step forward and then another back and wanted to be able to visualise it. This seemed especially true in 2015 and 2016 when the code for sustainable homes was withdrawn and the zero carbon hub closed, only for the 2018 IPCC report to really create some movement. and Sue James spearheaded the project and it feels like we all got involved.

It also helps to understand just how long we’ve known about this issue and debated whether it is real or not.
