Some greenhouse gases can cause more damage than carbon dioxide. We compare them by converting them to their equivalent global warming potential over 100 years.

I was surprised to see just how bad other gases are.

What I wasn’t able to show in this was that different gases are active for different periods of time, if you think of a 50 year period instead 100 years, some can be even more damaging.
